Lapidary in the hall of the Lendava Castle

A smaller lapidary is arranged in the hall of the Lendava Castle, which exhibits the stone remains of the onetime curtain wall of the castle and three baroque statues from the outskirts of Lendava.

The oldest exhibit is a fragment of the castle’s curtain wall dating from 1675 and the most interesting are the baroque statues of John the Baptist and St. Ana with Maria from Lendavske Gorice vineyards.

From the middle of the hallway the visitors can see the exhibition titled Sacred Heritage of Lendava and its surroundings.
