Štefan Galič (1944-1997) – painter & graphic artist
Štefan Galič, born in Lendava, was in the wider Slovenian cultural area known primarily as a printmaker, and was one of the most recognized slovenian woodcut graphic artist in final third of the previous century.
His unique woodcuts gave him reputation and awards.
The Memorial Room opened its doors in 2008 and offers visitors a view of his graphics (especially from the cycle of Records and Fossils), as well as his outstanding collection of more than 4000 butterflies from different parts of the world, these were valuable resources of inspiration to Galič.
